Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team focused on building the next generation model development and execution platform. This role will involve data sourcing, controls, and metadata management, with a strong emphasis on compliance with the Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) policy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in data lineage, controls, transformations, and meticulous documentation of user interface-supported data adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement a robust data sourcing and management strategy.
- Ensure compliance with the Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) policy, focusing on data lineage, controls, and transformations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, controls, and data adjustments to support data governance.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets, transforming multi-depth parent-child hierarchical data structures into user-friendly Excel outputs.
- Utilize PL/SQL, Hadoop, and Spark to extract, manipulate, and analyze data effectively.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support data flattening and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure alignment on data management strategies and project timelines.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, implementing controls to mitigate risks associated with data discrepancies.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders, providing recommendations for data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong knowledge of data sourcing, controls, and metadata management.
- Familiarity with Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) policies and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, Hadoop, Spark, and SQL programming.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
