Engineering Director – Design Focus (CAD/Revit)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director with a strong background in design, particularly in CAD and Revit, to lead and oversee the design function within our engineering department.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors, managing the design process for large-scale projects.

This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving design innovation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating across departments to deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the design engineering team, overseeing all aspects of design from initial concept through project completion.

• Develop and implement design strategies, focusing on efficiency, innovation, and compliance with construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.

• Ensure design accuracy and integrity using CAD, Revit, and other design tools, maintaining alignment with project specifications and client requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure design feasibility and seamless project execution.

• Manage the development of detailed design documentation, drawings, and specifications to meet industry codes and regulations.

• Oversee quality assurance and design review processes to ensure the highest level of precision in all designs.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design team to enhance productivity and project outcomes.

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to the design engineering team, fostering professional growth and innovation.

• Monitor and manage design budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to timelines.

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact design practices in construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in engineering design, with a strong focus on CAD and Revit.

• Proven experience in the construction and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team of design engineers.

• In-depth knowledge of construction and manufacturing codes, regulations, and best practices.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.

• Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
