What You Will Be Doing
- Provide administrative support, maintain incident logs, and update OSHA and worker’s compensation reports.
- Assist with case management of open claims and track light-duty employees until full release.
- Build relationships with senior leadership and field personnel to promote safety and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Conduct job site visits and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards, and investigate accidents and near-misses.
- Deliver safety orientation, assist with onboarding programs, and travel to various job sites for safety meetings and audits.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction field safety or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
- Current OSHA 500 and 510 certifications preferred or obtainable within 2 years.
- Extensive knowledge of safety and loss control practices.
- Understanding of federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
- Clean driving record and ability to travel within West Michigan.
