Our client is looking for an experienced Real Estate Partner to join their team in New York. Leverage your expertise in handling complex real estate transactions and be part of a nationally recognised firm known for its innovative deal-making, client service excellence, and cost-efficient solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing high-profile real estate transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures, sales, financings, and leases.
- Providing legal counsel for office building transactions, including space and ground leasing, and ground-up development deals in New York and across the U.S.
- Structuring complex deals involving air rights, ground leases, and condominium parcels in major New York City assemblages.
- Advising on the development and leasing of residential and commercial properties, including hotel and condominium development sites.
- Handling joint ownership agreements including condominiums, cooperatives, and tenancies-in-common, as well as guiding 1031 exchange transactions.
- Leading distressed property workouts and advising investment bankers on REIT offerings.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
- Extensive experience practicing real estate law, with a proven track record in high-value, complex transactions.
- Demonstrated expertise in office building transactions, retail leasing, and large-scale development deals.
- Strong client management and leadership skills, with a reputation for creative problem-solving and deal-making.
- Familiarity with tax-efficient investment strategies, including the federal Opportunity Zone program.
- Experience with air rights conveyancing, condominium developments, and 1031 exchanges.
