We are seeking an experienced estate planning attorney who is detail-oriented, great with people, hungry to grow/learn within our boutique law firm. This role has a lot of upside opportunity (financially and professionally - we are growing).
We seek someone with estate planning, elder law, special needs and/or estate tax planning experience.

The right candidate will be able to meet with clients, support senior attorneys in completing document drafting, proofing, and follow up with multiple clients, and take on their own client matters in the near term.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role (some flexibility ok once established) for an Estate Planning Attorney at Gilfix & La Poll Associates located in Palo Alto, CA. The Estate Planning Attorney will be responsible for handling estate planning, elder law, special needs, estate tax, probate, estate administration, and succession planning matters on a day-to-day basis. Wearing multiple hats is key to the role.
Salary offered will be commensurate with direct experience. Significant upside possible in a growing and vibrant firm.
Qualifications
- Estate Planning, Special Needs, Estate Tax planning, elder law - 5 years or more in this field
- Experience in probate and estate administration (again, great experience in other fields will be considered)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Great PEOPLE skills, collaborative nature
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eager to learn, work proactively and grow within a boutique law firm
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of California
