Job Summary:
The Chemical Packaging Tech 2 is responsible for staging, filling (manually or semi-automatically), capping, labeling, and overpacking liquid, powder, and lyophilized products according to approved packing specifications. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols and quality systems while completing packaging documentation per ISO procedures and delivering products to inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill, cap, and label chemical products accurately and efficiently.
Follow all quality and safety procedures to maintain compliance and product integrity.
Support quality systems and initiatives within the packaging department.
Train others and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Required Qualifications:
Education : GED or High School Diploma.
Experience:
5-6 years of experience in a chemical or packaging environment.
Experience in mixing, labeling, and working with chemicals.
Skills :
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs using lifting equipment.
Ability to see clearly at both close and long distances.
Basic math skills and understanding.
Basic data entry and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with SAP.
Familiarity with ISO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
Additional Requirements:
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including air helmets, masks, safety shoes, rubber aprons, Tyvek suits, protective gloves, and safety glasses/goggles while performing duties.
Physical and respirator fit tests are required.
Daily clean-shaven requirement for safety compliance.
Work Environment:
Temp-to-perm position in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Onsite interviews will be conducted.
