Research Project Manager (Quality Standards) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Manager (Quality Standards) for the Center for Advanced Energy Systems within the School of Engineering. The Research Project Manager (Quality Standards) reports to the Center Director and plays a critical role in the internal functions of the office while also engaging with ITAC Directors and Faculty. The role involves managing various projects and supporting CAES initiatives, requiring specialized knowledge in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides technical reviews of all IAC assessment reports.
Ensures assessment reports are comprehensive and calculations are accurate.
Facilitates IAC mentor/mentee relationships through events and workshops.
Conducts periodic on-site surveillances of Centers.
Monitors activities to ensure compliance with IAC assessment methodologies and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar degree) or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience with energy systems or a similar field.
Valid driver’s license.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in hosting and coordinating mentorship programs.
Familiarity with website design and photo/video editing software.
Knowledge of the Industrial Assessment Center program or Department of Energy-funded programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in conference/event planning and coordination.
Skills in leading team meetings and webinars.
Experience in hiring and training new staff.
Able to create and train on Standard Operating Procedures.
