    Certification Details
  • BLS & ACLS – must be certified through the American Heart Association ONLY.
  • Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
  • Neuroscience critical care unit indicates NIH Stroke Scale certification may be relevant since the care involves stroke conditions.
    Job Details
  • Seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to work on a recently renovated 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit with the opportunity to support both IMC and ICU level of care.
  • Care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical and stroke conditions that can include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases.
  • Utilize strong critical thinking skills and provide interventions that may include vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, frequent assessments, and more.
  • Work with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses that are an integral part of nationally recognized neuroscience programs committed to providing expert care.
    Job Requirements
  • ICU experience required. Neurosurgery experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient populations.
  • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
    Schedule Information
  • The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing needs and different locations within the organization.
  • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete the contract.
    Additional Details
  • Parking option includes a permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite or other transportation options such as bus, park & ride, and private parking.
