Job Title: Junior Business Analyst (Veterans|Transitioning Service Members)
Contract: 12M Contract to Hire
Pay : $20-$30/hr DOE
Location: 100% remote until March 2025, and then onsite 2 days/week in Lansing, MI due to office renovations.

Role Description:
This government agency supports 15 different government customers and about 90 separate applications. The majority of projects will be focused on maintenance, where the team is focused on enhancements and bug fixes. A Junior Business Analyst (BA) works with stakeholders and colleagues to analyze business processes, functions, and data structures.
Their responsibilities include:
Researching and documenting: Gathering and documenting business requirements and dataflows by asking good, clarifying questions.
Analyzing data: Analyzing how projects impact business outcomes, and validating implemented solutions
Technical Communication: Participating in meetings, taking notes, and translating business requirements to technical teams.
Supporting Senior Analysts: Assisting with project-related tasks, helping to prepare reports and presentations, and providing feedback to developers.
Developing solutions: The ability to observe patterns, make suggestions and create policy and procedure to increase efficiency and efficacy.
Ensuring quality: Helping to ensure that the final deliverable meets project specifications.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience: There are many valuable MOS, MOC, AFSC or Rates that would make an excellent Business Analyst so there is not one required skillset. Resumes and profiles must demonstrate the writing and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and translating business requirements into technical language and vice versa.
Top 3 Technical skills for this role: Demonstrated experience within Microsoft Office Suite, Visio Flowcharts and Azure DevOps.
Education: A completed bachelor’s degree is a mandatory requirement, preferably within the IT or Software Development Space.
