Position Title: UAT Tester

Job Type: Contract (Ongoing)

Location: Mississauga, Hybrid (On-site and Remote)

Reports To: QA Manager


About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UAT Tester to join our team on an ongoing contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and the development team to ensure that applications meet end-user requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of user acceptance testing processes, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and user expectations.
  • Develop, review, and execute UAT test cases, test scripts, and scenarios.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing to validate functionality, usability, and data accuracy.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, ensuring their feedback is documented and addressed.
  • Report and escalate critical issues or roadblocks to the project team and management.
  • Validate defect resolutions and perform retesting as needed.
  • Ensure all UAT deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with QA, development teams, and business units to ensure smooth UAT processes.
  • Provide detailed test execution reports and participate in regular project meetings.


Required Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum 3–5 years of experience in user acceptance testing or related roles.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM).
  • Knowledge : Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into test scenarios.
  • Soft Skills : Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tools : Experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL (basic queries), and defect-tracking tools.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks (a plus).
  • Knowledge of regulatory or compliance requirements (if applicable).
  • ISTQB certification or similar credentials.
