Accountant Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with a focus on credit management. In this role, you will be responsible for managing credit processes, assessing creditworthiness, and overseeing accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and minimal credit risk. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with expertise in credit analysis, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to credit control.
Key Responsibilities for Accountant:
- Conduct credit assessments and analyze customer financial statements to determine credit limits and risk factors.
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collections in line with company credit policies.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to review customer credit issues and resolve outstanding balances.
- Prepare and present regular credit reports, including aging analysis and bad debt forecasts, to management.
- Reconcile credit accounts and manage the credit approval process for new and existing clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in credit management to reduce risk and improve cash flow.
- Provide support during audits by preparing credit-related documentation and reports.
Qualifications for Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on credit management or accounts receivable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
