Beautiful, quaint boutique hotel situated along the coast of California is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager with an amazing floor presence and good energy. Candidates must be highly service-oriented and have a strong working knowledge of food & beverage. This is a serene property with a smaller, more intimate restaurant space, and it is essential that this person have a passion for making genuine connections with guests and providing world-class hospitality at all times. Prior hotel experience highly preferred.

Assistant Manager Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
  • Remain hands on throughout the entire shift and assist as needed
  • Hold the team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
  • Ensure the team is well educated on the menu items
  • Gather guests’ feedback, resolve guest issues and recommend improvements
  • Appraise team member performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Help train new and current team members on proper guest steps of service
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations

Assistant Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager, Outlets Manager, Service Manager, Dining Room Manager, or FOH Manager; OR 4+ years’ experience as a Floor/Lead Supervisor, Assistant Manager, FOH Supervisor, Shift Manager, or comparable hospitality management role in an upscale dining environment
  • Hotel experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of food and beverage
  • Record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
  • Proven track record in helping to ensure guest satisfaction and food quality
  • Passion for hospitality and working with people
  • High attention to detail
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to guests and support to staff members
  • Energetic, positive, reliable and dependable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays

Compensation Package:

  • Base Salary in the $70-80k range DOE
