Position Summary
To assist the Retail Dining Manager (RDM) in recruiting, training and directing of a team of hospitality professionals that ensures service excellence of food and beverage in all outlets within the UGA Center for Continuing Education and Hotel. Responsible for managing elements related to the profit and loss within the outlet operations. Assisting the RDM in the development and management of a service culture that creates a work environment that is focused on the health and safety of guests and employees.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to plan work schedules, to assign personnel, and supervise the work of subordinates in a manner conducive to full performance while maintaining morale.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and patrons.
- Two to three years' experience in a mid to high volume customer service establishment.
Physical Demands
Work long hours while standing.
Lift, pull/roll at least 30 lbs.
Bend and kneel, and work with hands.

Create and supervise a professional, service-oriented team the provides guests and visitors of the Georgia Center with outstanding food quality and customer service in the Bulldog Bistro and Savannah Room.

Develop, train, implement, and manage operational standards that exceed our customers' expectations for cleanliness, food presentation, and quality.

Oversee staff needs regarding scheduling planning of shifts.
