Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary
The Coordinator for Events Services is responsible for working with customers from across campus to ensure each assigned event taking place in Tate Center Facilities runs smoothly. This position is instrumental in driving the seamless function of all the events within the Tate Student Center facilities. This position reports to the Senior Coordinator for Event Services and is part of the larger
Campus Reservations, Events & Technical Services (CRETS) staff. Considerable early morning, evening, and weekend hours are required.

Duties/Responsibilities
Coordination of Event Process - Serve as Event Coordinator in producing multiple events as assigned from start to finish, including event reservations, customer relations, implementation, and on-site supervision of events.
- Work directly with customers to ensure all event details are captured and implemented.
- Create and design event setup diagrams based on communications with customers.
- Submit workorders to ensure all outside partners are notified of elements that are needed for a successful event, including cleaning workorders and vendor ordering of supplies.
Percentage of time 50 Duties/Responsibilities
Oversight of Events - Greet each customer on the day of their event, ensuring their needs are met and the event starts smoothly.
- Oversee and prepare facilities for meetings and events taking place in Tate Center facilities and other locations assigned during the week, including some early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Assist the Senior Event Coordinator with additional events taking place within the Tate Student Center facilities and other locations.
- Assist the Event Services student staff, (student crew that manages room set-up and break down, maintains room conditions and manages equipment for meetings and events in Tate Center facilities) as needed.
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Administrative and Communication between Units - Use multiple software programs to input all reservation information for each event.
- Attend weekly meetings to ensure appropriate communication between the Event & Tech team and other campus partners.
- Work with other units within the office to ensure smooth event operations on a daily basis.
- Leadership over the event operations during absences with other event team members.
