Sales Supervisor / Territory Manager - Northeast Ohio The sales position oversees a full range of account management activities associated with selling and servicing a large technical industrial territory. The account base is diverse and includes bearing, automotive, cutting tool, and general engineering types of accounts. These key accounts are technical in nature and require strategic, focused planning and execution. A thorough understanding of value-added selling is necessary. Responsibilities will also include working closely with Application Engineers, Product Managers, and other SGA personnel to successfully maintain existing accounts and win competitive opportunities. Accounts in this territory primarily use Bonded, Superabrasives, and Coated abrasive products. Key measures of performance are sales, relationship building, proposing and implementing sales growth programs, and uncovering new opportunities. This specific end user territory geography is centered around Northeast Ohio, which is a high-profile territory within the Saint-Gobain organization that will provide the salesperson visibility within the sales organization and opportunities for success and promotion into larger positions. This position requires a highly motivated person who is a self-starter, creative, personable, team player, and can succeed with limited direction. A strong technical background in Bonded and SuperAbrasives, as well as very good organizational skills, is required. The incumbent should have proven sales and marketing skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proven analytical, negotiating, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary. A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience is required. Strong competence in professional selling skills as it relates to the Abrasives and Metal Working industry is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, web applications, contact management, and other forms of data analysis is necessary.
