Position: Instrument and Control Technician Location: Palatka, Florida Day Shift Hourly Rate: Level A: $31.97, Level B: $25.64 - $30/HR Essential Functions: This I&C position is a training opportunity for a potential PLC position. Individual will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining calibration logs of all plant instrumentation. Individual will be responsible for ensuring all plant instrumentation and control devices are updated in SAP (with an attached PM, in development) and maintaining a library of all plant I/C devices in the shared drive and DPCTrack2. Individual will be responsible for completing and/or coordinating PM’s for all the plants instrumentation and control equipment. Individual will be responsible for motor testing (MCE / PdMA) program and Infrared (IR) studies of plant electrical equipment. Individual will aid in the installation and replacement of plant electrical components such as motors and VFDs. Individual will work and train closely with the I&C Supervisor and the Electrical Controls Engineer to learn how to set up and modify the plants control systems. This will include some formal on and off-site training. This position will report directly to the I&C Supervisor. Responsibilities: This position will be filled by an associate who normally performs an existing maintenance function. The individual can be asked to assist with equipment failures or cover for absent electricians as deemed necessary by supervision. There is a preference for being on straight day shift with the possibility of being on rotating shift as needed to support plant operation, which includes multi-craft work. Is this job for you?
