Job Description
Responsible for consistently meeting all corporate and plant objectives for safety, quality, productivity, cost, and housekeeping. Also responsible for empowering production associates to make sound and timely decisions as well as resolve problems during production. Key Responsibilities: Safety/environmental performance: Holds employees on shift accountable for safety & environmental performance. Leads by example and ensures that a safe environment is provided. Builds and contributes to a strong safety & environmental performance culture. Quality performance: Ensures production team is adhering to and being held accountable for quality goals and expectations. People Development: Ensures team members are properly trained and executing their respective roles. Ensures active and effective coaching is taking place with the team members to ensure maximum performance. Ensures Collective Agreement is being administered consistently. Builds a strong performing team through effective communication, coaching, and by driving accountability for results in all areas. Production planning and results: Ensures that all production goals and expectations are being accomplished. Has productive relationships with other personnel (Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance), to ensure effective planning and execution of production requirements. NIGHT SHIFT WORK SCHEDULE: This position is scheduled to be on the night shift working 12-hours per shift, 4 days on and 4 days off with the ability to work weekends. Minimum Requirements: High school or GED, Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a 24/7 manufacturing union plant. Must have interpersonal, training, and coaching skills necessary to foster cooperation/teamwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Well-developed leadership and coaching capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). The national pay range for this position is $76,500 to $123,400 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
