LHH is seeking an Operations Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will lead a small team of hourly production employees in a manufacturing/processing facility. You will oversee production output, reduce scrap, improve processes, and collaborate with other department leaders. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $60,000-70,000 per year and includes medical insurance options, Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the supervision, performance, and development of all production employees on your shift
• Coach direct reports, provide feedback on project outcomes, and complete performance reviews
• Meet or exceed operational targets by managing headcount, improving performance, and achieving departmental goals
• Manage overall workload and resources to meet customer requirements
• Provide technical support for the day-to-day production activities
• Operate machinery as needed to achieve production goals
• Create, implement, and manage process improvement, continuous improvement, and other initiatives in the facility
• Lead cost-savings and scrap reduction projects, conduct root cause analyses, develop corrective action plans, and improve equipment uptime and output
• Implement automation where necessary to improve performance
• Develop new SOPs and train staff on any changes (as needed)
• Provide technical support wherever needed and be available to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing, material processing, heavy machinery, or rigging
• Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience leading teams (ideally within a manufacturing and/or processing facility)
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
• Must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is able to succeed with little supervision
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work as part of a cross-functional team
