Senior Corporate Counsel - Innovative Asset Manager

Our client, an innovative asset management firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to join their legal team. This position focuses on SEC compliance for public companies and investment firms while also handling general corporate legal matters. Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on SEC compliance matters, including filings, disclosures, and regulatory reporting for public companies and investment firms.
• Develop and implement corporate governance policies and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Provide legal support for general corporate matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions.
• Stay abreast of evolving securities laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
• Manage relationships with external counsel as needed for specialized legal support.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership to the Texas bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in SEC compliance and corporate matters at a reputable law firm or sophisticated in-house environment.
• Deep understanding of securities laws, corporate governance, and investment industry regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
