An award-winning restaurant group in NYC is seeking a talented and experienced Wine Director. Renowned for delivering exceptional dining experiences, we are looking for a dynamic leader with a proven track record in curating innovative wine programs, strong management skills, and a dedication to quality and creativity. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the beverage vision of a respected and thriving organization.


The Wine Director will oversee the wine program across all restaurants within the company, ensuring an elevated and cohesive guest experience. This leadership role emphasizes innovation, operational excellence, and the highest standards of quality, while collaborating with restaurant management teams to align wine offerings with each restaurant’s unique identity and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee wine programs across all restaurant locations.
  • Curate innovative wine lists, emphasizing quality and alignment with culinary menus.
  • Lead wine training programs for staff to elevate knowledge, service standards, and guest engagement.
  • Oversee and manage $3-4 million in annual wine sales across the group, ensuring consistent performance and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wine suppliers, negotiating pricing and securing exclusive offerings.
  • Monitor wine inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
  • Partner with restaurant management teams to deliver a cohesive and elevated wine experience that enhances overall dining satisfaction.
  • Provide hands-on support during service to ensure the smooth execution of wine operations and guest satisfaction.

Financial 

  • Achieve set financial goals, including revenue targets, cost management, and gross profit margins, while maintaining an elevated guest experience.
  • Maximize location purchasing potential and menu profitability.
  • Control and manage inventory.
