The Impact You Will Make
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing our accounts receivable (AR) processes across over 400 locations nationwide. This position involves strategizing with location administrators and General Managers to resolve AR issues, ensuring timely collections, and providing guidance on prioritizing accounts. The specialist will be responsible for following up with locations that are not making progress, offering targeted support, and implementing best practices to improve overall AR performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with location administrators and General Managers to develop and implement effective collection strategies.
- Analyze AR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations on which accounts to focus on to maximize collections.
- Regularly monitor the progress of locations in meeting their collection targets.
- Follow up with locations that are not making sufficient progress, identifying barriers, and providing solutions.
- Ensure accountability by tracking performance metrics and reporting to AR Manager.
- Offer targeted support and develop action plans for locations facing significant AR challenges.
- Create and distribute updated collections scripts, templates, and other resources.
- Develop specific performance metrics for General Managers related to the support and success of collections efforts in their locations.
- Coordinate with the AR Manager to refine reporting tools and enhance support capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related area.
- Proven experience in strategizing and implementing collection processes and improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with AR software.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Must possess valid driver's license.
