Provides expert and second-tier technical support for the installation and repair of complex systems and outages. Partners with developers and engineers to reduce reoccurring incidents.nnAnswers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of designated systems and services.nnApplies senior diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions to correct common failures.nnProvides consultative assistance during off hours as needed.nnSetting up workstations.nnInstalling scanners, printers, computer systems and associated hardware.nnIntegrate hardware into new and existing facilities and equipment racks at the data center.nnInstallation of servers, network hardware, and related components to manufacturer and customer specificationsnnRoute and neatly dress system cables (fiber and copper) in underfloor and overhead cable trays.nnRead and interpret engineering drawings and Work Orders.nnExperience or familiarity of Intelligence Community designated systems.nnWillingness to work outside of normal work hours.nnWillingness and ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or greater.nnMust be able to work in confined spaces.nnAbility and willingness to travel 50% or more to CONUS and OCONUS Government Facilities.nnGeneral comprehension of components/subcomponents of data center infrastructure, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.nnFamiliarity with the power source needed for each hardware device and being able to identify available power outlets as well as correct power cordage.nnWork Environment:nnLocation: On sitennTravel Requirements: High 50%+ a lot of Greater DC local travel.nnWorking Hours: Stand 40 hoursnnQualifications:nnRequired:nnTop Secret/SCInnCurrent US Passport.nnAt least one (1) year of experience with installation, maintenance of IT computers, printers, scanners, VTC equipment, routers, and crypto devices, etc.nnBachelor's degree and two (2+) years of relevant experience; master’s degree and no years of experience; High School Diploma/GED and eight (8+) years of relevant experiencennDesired:nnTech control experience working with circuits.nnExperience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.nnExperience working in a Data Center environmentnnBasic Compensation:nn$80,000 - $120,000nnThis range is for the Maryland area onlynnThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.nnAdditional Compensation:nnKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
