Title:nnSr. RF Electronics TechniciannnSr. RF Electronics TechniciannnSenior level 5 electronics technician is responsible for performing various technical duties under limited supervision, including the fabrication, assembly, test, modification, and operation of complex electrical and electronic circuits and equipment.nnPerforms operational tests and adjustments of complex electrical and electronic equipment using standard test setups in accordance with printed or generally accepted test procedures.nnReads and interprets schematics diagrams, wire diagrams, wire lists, waveforms, and diagnostic results relating to overall equipment or systems functions.nnMakes complex repairs, including replacement of component parts. Fabricates and assembles complex components and systems in accordance with system documentation.nnCompiles system documentation on completed units.nnAssists engineers by performing lower-level engineering design, and applying advanced technical knowledge gained through education and experience. Assist engineers in prototype development effortsnnPerforms board-level circuit design.nnUtilizes test equipment and advanced testing techniques to validate component and system operation. Performs system certification and accreditation testing in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.nnPerforms non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a more extensive and more diverse project. Works cross-functionally to resolve problems. Interfaces, in some instances, directly with customers on projects and provides technical resolution on issues.nnDevelops system specifications, estimates, part lists, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and wire lists. Develops technical documentation on systems to include operating procedures. Generates test reports and provides analysis of data and recommendations to engineering staff and customers.nnEvaluates new generation technology to include components and equipment for inclusion in future system designs.nnLeads development efforts in conjunction with engineering staff and manages lower-level technical personnel supporting system development and testing efforts.nnQualifications:nnAssociate degree in engineering technology or related fields or military technical training program with a minimal ten years of directly related work experience as an electronics technician. In lieu of education, one must have 12 years of related experience.nnStrong RF system and component experiencennAdvanced knowledge of test equipment operation and application as it relates to utilization in performing engineering support efforts.nnAbility to work independently and manage large portions of projects to completion.nnMust have DoD Secret level clearance and be able to maintain clearance as part of employment.nnBasic Compensation:nn$80,000 to $130,000nnThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.nnAdditional Compensation:nnKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
