Job Description Summary:nnThis position works independently under the supervision of assigned leadership and a staff Radiologist. Performs a variety of procedures utilizing various radiographic equipment.nnQualifications:nnMinimum of twelve (12) months clinical experience obtained through an accredited school of Radiological Technology required.nnMontana Limited Permit Holder License required.nnCurrent RQI Responder CPR or must be successfully obtained at time of hire.nnPrevious experience performing a variety of Radiology procedures required. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy preferred.nnExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.nnCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.nnExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.nnPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.nnJob Specific Duties:nnPerforms and documents assessment of the patient utilizing available information and incorporating the patient’s perception of illness/condition.nnAssists provider with examinations and procedures as directed and in accordance with established scope of practice as applicable to assigned area(s).nnMaintains an understanding of current exam protocols as applicable to assigned area(s). Works in collaboration with the radiology department to ensure the most up to date protocols are followed.nnAccurately and efficiently transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments. Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.nnFollows current exam protocols to perform diagnostic imaging procedures as applicable to assigned area(s).nnMaintains accountability to technologist competency/quality control standards. Reviews QA report and takes appropriate action as indicated.nnAssists with maintaining and coordinating repairs and services as needed. Monitors equipment for malfunction and alerts leadership per department procedures and protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).nnThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
