Pay rate: $23 - $24/hr.
Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities:
Processes invoices, vouchers, and expense reports using proper coding for accurate financial entry, while managing vendor correspondence and supporting documentation. Resolves invoice and purchase order issues, prepares payment transactions, and assists with monthly reports and account reconciliations. Handles remittance processing and inquiries regarding account status, ensuring discrepancies are addressed. Maintains accounting records, files, and reports, and identifies process improvements to enhance efficiency within the Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in 10-key by touch with 2-4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Knowledge of accounting systems, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable to change, capable of multitasking, and skilled in meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates initiative in learning new skills, following up on issues, and improving processes.
