Title: Compliance Program Manager
Location: San Jose OR Palo Alto (Onsite)
Base Salary: $110,000- $140,000
X Corp. (X) is looking for an experienced program management and compliance professional to join the Compliance Function as a Program Manager as the Company continues to build the App of Everything. Based in San Jose or Palo Alto, you will closely partner with cross functional colleagues to ensure effective delivery of compliance programs focusing on the growing requirements for social media platforms, including organizing statutory obligations such as risk assessments, annual audits, transparency reporting requirements and compliance monitoring. You will have the flexibility to learn on the job and build your expertise around developing internet regulation.
What You'll Do- Support the global regulatory compliance monitoring program, identifying areas for improvement and providing compliance recommendations
- Contribute to the creation and delivery of key statutory compliance obligations including transparency reports and risk assessments and audits
- Working with other compliance colleagues, support the compliance function in managing and tracking global regulatory relationships.
- Manage team and important stakeholder meetings, capturing decisions and action items and ensuring deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Legal and Safety teams to identify thematic commonalities across different regulatory obligations.
- Support the build and enhancement of our content compliance record keeping infrastructure and processes, utilizing a transparent systems approach to drive processes, tooling and documentation.
- Maintain governance documentation related to management body reporting and reviews
- Deliver training and communications for internal stakeholders regarding record keeping obligations and operational, business impacts associated with content compliance.
- As a member of the X Compliance team, you'll also be responsible for continuing to develop the compliance culture and embed compliance initiatives as X grows.
- Participate in other compliance work as necessary.
Who You AreWe're looking for an accomplished program manager who is comfortable working in a fast-paced globally based cross functional environment with broad responsibilities.
The role will necessitate rapidly developing a deep understanding of X's business and products. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, analytical, self-motivated, with a clear and effective communications style (both written and verbal)
Experience & Qualifications- Minimum of 4 years experience total in, communications, compliance, information governance or other related fields with 2+ years focused experience in project and or process management.
- Experience in a social media company strongly preferred and knowledge of key areas of law including the EU Digital Services Act and other similar global laws.
- Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
Familiarity with managing logistics across multiple teams in multiple countries. - Experience with design, development and maintenance of clear and auditable record keeping processes.
