Job Description
Vertin Company is adding a Regional Operations Director. This role is an integral part of our team, being responsible for leading funeral and cemetery (where applicable) operations within an assigned region. This region will support various locations nationally.

This role will allow you to work remotely, but you will be traveling to your regions, nationally. This would include Minnesota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Montana.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and continuously improve day to day operations of funeral and cemetery (where applicable) operations and optimize customer value.
  • Manage employee performance using established metrics and expectations, tracking progress against the goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
  • Hold staff accountable for metrics, performance goals, reporting, and budgets.
  • Implement the Vertin Business System to meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Ensure engagement, satisfaction, and alignment of employees to effectively meet strategic objectives and initiatives.
  • Communicate and present information to influence behavior, stimulate innovation, promote best practices and drive organizational change.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of customer satisfaction and positive benefit to local families through programs and services to meet customer expectations.
  • Identify marketable opportunities (differentiated service experiences; personal staff highlights, upcoming community events; aftercare programs; testimonials; etc.).
  • Meet or exceed established operational budget.
  • Appraise regions operating results in terms of costs, budget, management processes, trends and increased profit opportunities.


Experience you need to bring:

  • 7-10 years of experiencein previous leadership roles
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university, plus five or more years related experience and/or training within a professional setting, where direct oversight/management of others was required in achieving common company goals.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 75% travel is required.
  • Proven skills in leadership, coaching, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
