Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team in Duncan, SC.
The
Logistics Manager provides leadership and direction within the logistics department, to the Logistics Analysts and others within their assigned groups, daily to ensure all activities are being performed adhering to the corporate logistics procedures. Implements appropriate tracking tools to ensure the achievement of all department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities- Effectively supervise groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met
- Provide guidance on the escalation process. Review processes to ensure adherence to policy and adjust accordingly.
- Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources. Provide leadership in ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs/projects.
- Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
- Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services.
- Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics
- Manage relationships with our TMS/MTS providers
- Weekly calls - set up monthly meetings with key leaders- project updates, industry updates, improvements, etc.
- Quarterly reviews
- Manage relationships with all LTL, TL, parcel, and international providers
- Review KPIs and customer requirements.
- Ensure quarterly and month-end reporting is executed and validated
- Visit Local Plants monthly and engage with shipping teams
- Conduct RFPs: LTL, Parcel, TL (Dry-van and Flatbed), Air, International Ocean

Qualifications- 4-year degree in a Logistics-related field and 5-8 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and teams communication skills
- 4+ years of logistics experience with TMS/MTS systems
- Strong systems skills, including proficiency with integrated software applications
- Thinks critically and can problem solve
- Computer and software knowledge required
- Ability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and communicate effectively
