Job Details
An Executive Sous Chef looking to excel in management and excersize that highly creative side.

With an upcoming PM service and daily unique specials we're looking to add a dedicated team member who is ready to challenge their creativity and manage a new team with compassion. 

This is an incredible opportunity for someone ready to refine their creative voice under the Sqirl umbrella while leading with kindness.  This is also a wonderful opportunity to go through a new opening - be a part of onboarding team members who will be guided by you.

You will need to be trained in the AM in order to assist in supporting the CDC when necessary.

Job Overview

Aid upper management with Sqirl AM/PM line duties and act as the lead under the CDC.
Continue the in-progress conceptualization of a PM menu at the restaurant with CDC/Chef. 
Be able to assist in AM service and Sqirl Away needs if necessary.
Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
Assist in overseeing inventory, purchasing and food cost via communication with CDC and Lead Prep Cook.
Manage staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
Ensure compliance with food handlers and sanitation standards
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, procedures, and brand standards
Support the Chef de Cuisine in the training, mentoring, development and management of the AM/PM/Sqirl Away kitchen staff and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
Assist with completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties including operations reports, financial documentation, human resources/staff management paperwork, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitations checklists, and ordering and inventory documentation


Qualifications

Must have experience with and a passion for fermentation and preservation
Culinary Degree or equivalent experience
Experience successfully leading in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing demands
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
