Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with menus.
- Manage the flow of guests into the restaurant, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.
- Utilize a POS or other point-of-sale systems to manage reservations and waitlists.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Support guest services by addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Familiarity with any POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
