This successful candidate is resourceful and has experience managing employee relations, recruitment, benefits, compliance, and overall workforce strategies within the organization.
Job Overview :
The HR Specialist is responsible for the implementation of the company's employment policies. He/she is the link between management and employees, ensuring that all employment relations run smoothly for the company to achieve its organizational goals. The HR specialist is responsible for sourcing, onboarding, and assessing employees within the organization.
Job Duties
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
- Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Manage employment applications and job vacancies to match applicants with job descriptions.
- Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.
- Screen to identify qualified job applicants or refer them to managers, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
- Schedule and conduct new employee orientations.
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
- Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures.
- Stay up-to-date and ensure the organization follows regulations and employment laws.
- Serve as liaison for benefits administration.
- Conduct ongoing assessment and development of organizational health.
- Develop and coordinate a performance management process.
- Research and assist in implementing an employee wellbeing, health, and safety program.
- Coaching and mentoring employees.
- Create standard operating procedures.
- Conduct relevant training and/or direct managers and other staff to engage in workshops and programs to increase their management skills.
- Assist leadership with succession planning.
Training and development: Designing and delivering training programs to help employees develop the skills they need to do their jobs and identifying training opportunities for staff.

Experience & Educational Requirements: Candidates for the position should possess a bachelor’s degree with at least five years’ experience in HR. A master’s degree preferred.
Base Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not currently involve supervisory responsibilities.
