Job Description
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Specialty: SLP Acute Care Hospital
Job Duration: 9 Months
Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-hour (08:00 - 16:30), with options for 4-5 shifts (9 shifts every 2 weeks) or 8 shifts every 2 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Contracted Hours
Experience: Minimum 1 year, first-timers accepted
License: MN State License required, pending license not accepted
Certifications: MN State License required
Must-Have:
- Experience with bedside swallow evaluations and treatments
Job Description:
- Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and treatments.
- Preferred experience with video fluoroscopy swallow evaluation.
- Every 5th weekend rotation required (dates specified).
- Potential for on-call duties, dependent on unit requirements.
- Open to accommodating block schedule, based on unit requirements.
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs, to be determined.
- Finalized time-off requests must be included with submission; no time off within the first week of start date; no more than 10 days off per assignment.
- Contract involves working in a Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma facility with 479 total staffed beds.
- Must complete orientation, which includes 14 non-billable hours.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirement, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
- Travelers are financially responsible for travel arrangements and must complete required fingerprinting in person within specified timelines.
