Job Description

Our reputable client in the insurance sector is seeking a Assistant Vice President, Performance Analytics to join their team!


The Assistant Vice President will oversee the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of investment performance data to support decision-making and drive organizational success. This role requires a deep understanding of performance measurement methodologies, advanced analytics, and a collaborative mindset to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to strategic growth.


This is a hybrid role based out of their downtown Toronto office and Mississauga office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-5 direct reports, fostering employee growth and maximizing organizational efficiency
  • Design and oversee management reporting on financial flows and results for the Individual Wealth Management business
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide actionable insights that inform investment strategies
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools to provide insights into portfolio trends and risk-adjusted performance
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and conduct in-depth analyses to support business case development for initiatives such as strategic projects, technology investments, and mergers and acquisitions
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of performance data across all reporting platforms
  • Other duties as required


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in performance analytics, investment management, or a related area.
  • CFA or CPA designation considered a strong asset
  • Proficient in Power BI and/or Tableau, with a strong ability to create interactive dashboards, visualize complex data, and deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, influencing, and relationship building skills
  • Experience coaching and mentoring, especially in analytical, strategy and/or communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, including financial analysis, research and complex modeling
