Strativ is excited to support our Aviation client in their search for a Contract Senior Functional Test Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative Powertrain Integration team on a 12 Month contract with the likelihood of extending.

This team is at the forefront of integrating and verifying cutting-edge powertrain systems, focusing on energy storage, propulsion, and thermal subsystems.

What you will do:

• Oversee developmental system testing efforts within the Powertrain Integration team.
• Create detailed test plans and procedures to assemble and instrument test articles, ensuring data collection is reliable, consistent, and repeatable.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues encountered during testing.
• Interpret test data and deliver comprehensive reports to Systems and Design Engineering teams.

What is required:

• At least 5 years of experience in system integration testing within automotive or aerospace environments.
• Proven experience working with high-voltage systems.
• Skilled in designing and assembling test fixtures equipped with instrumentation such as current/voltage sensors, thermocouples, and data acquisition systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of high-voltage lithium-ion battery systems.
• Experience with battery pack cycling test equipment.
