ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Retail Buyer working onsite in New York City to support our premier client’s buying team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, and have strong computer skills. This is an 11-month contract role that offers opportunities to work with new technologies and complex global supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- New product launch and coordination.
- Maintain product cost, retail price, content and images, vendor relations.
- Verify LAR to ensure all purchase orders (POs) are updated to the lowest allowable revision.
- Manage POs: Release, reschedule, and cancel POs per the instructions provided by buyers.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding overdue POs
- Conduct iSupplier training
- Handle troubleshooting and reconcile tasks related to invoices, receive issues with vendors, and finance matters under the supervision of the buyer.
- Send reminders for blank PDs
- Organize cleanup of old open/unsubmitted POs and WB Purchase Req lines – as per buyer instructions.
- Organize WB cleanup of buyer names, missing Oracle WB suppliers on planned orders, and missing LT’s/pricing as needed with buyer instructions.
- Cross collaboration, working with HM and supply chain.
- Engage with customers and work to problem solve.
Required Skills:
- Retail Buying, Merchandising, experience
- Experience with any PLM or ERP system
- Proficiency with Excel/MS Suite (VLookups, Pivot Tables)
- Willingness to learn, adaptability, team player
- Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with industry experience
- Technical Aptitude (working with electronics, engineering)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile or Oracle
