Position Summary:
ASD is seeking to hire a Project Superintendent in DFW. The primary functions of the Project Superintendent role will be to oversee all onsite construction activities for ground up multifamily projects. This detail-oriented individual should have at least 5 years of onsite experience and should have the ability to work independently on a variety of responsibilities. Candidates must be able to communicate with both internal and external customers, as well as subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Overview:
As a Project Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate all onsite activities for large-scale multifamily construction projects. You will be responsible for managing all Subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets and schedule, while maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to the scope of work.
- Maintains the project schedule and coordinates labor, procures materials and equipment required for various project tasks.
- Monitors all production work and subcontractors and assures all work is within the project scope of work and set specifications. Inspects project work activities and serves to advise field supervision of possible safety hazards and assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Reviews prospective projects and supports estimating work.
- Conducts regular safety meetings with employees and subcontractors addressing specific work areas and conditions that require safety attention stressing compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures.
- Coordinates with engineers, subcontractors, client/owner, inspectors, etc. to isolate project design and/ or specification problems and assists in developing solutions to these problems.
- Documents project status and communicates to interested parties. Including, but not limited to the following: complete daily project reports, complete weekly client project reports, coordination of client visits.
- Schedules inspections as necessary with the city, client representatives and engineers.
- Creates a positive, safe and productive job site.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
