Our client is seeking a Corporate Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its team in Chicago.

Position Overview:

The firm is looking for an Associate to assist with restructurings, both in-court and out-of-court, representing various clients such as debtors, creditors’ committees, lenders, and asset purchasers, including in cross-border matters.

Job Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in restructuring, including Chapter 11 proceedings.
• Admitted to the Illinois Bar and in good standing.
• Excellent academic record including a J.D.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in contested matters in court
• Engage in client communications and strategy discussions
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and reorganization plans
• Support distressed asset transactions, including sales and purchases
• Oversee liquidation processes and claims resolution
• Negotiate settlements and coordinate with various stakeholders, including creditors and financial institutions

Our client offers a top-market salary ranging from $235,000 to $310,000.
