We are not a standard recruitment agency because we allow for role ownership, offer base+commission+bonus potential, we don't push full-desk recruiting, we don't push VMS openings, and we have long-standing relationships with most hiring managers we partner with.
This role is open due to account growth and an increase in client hiring needs. While we offer a base salary, earning potential is contingent on successful placement. MMD has created a custom-made highly competitive commission structure to incentivize hard work and consistency.
We work with clients in a wide range of industries - retail, consumer product, eComm, energy, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, automotive, hospitality, insurance, and more. MMD’s business model is focused on developing and cultivating long-term relationships, which is why we have such close client and candidate connections!
This is not a fully remote role, MMD is in office MWF. All candidates must be either local to Chicago or open to relocation.
In this role you will:
- Work directly with Recruitment Manager and Sales reps to develop and execute recruitment plan of action including deliverables, tracking progress milestones, meeting financial objectives, emphasis on quick ramp up for quick earning potential. (commissions start day 1)
- Actively recruit on contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire roles.
- Spearhead client calls discussing open requisitions and add value to the recruitment process, including but not limited to: job description creation, hiring manager point of contact introductions, taking initiative on exclusive openings.
- Partner with leadership, sales, and clients to understand hiring objectives and strategize on successful candidate recruitment.
- Source and screen qualified technical candidates – determining strengths, discussing career history, and career trajectory.
- Salary negotiation with clients and candidates.
- Utilize internal database for sourcing as well as activity tracking.
- Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, various job boards, sponsored job postings, and enhanced contact platforms.

- The ability to recruit on roles varying in seniority, mid-to-senior job reqs more frequently.
- Emphasis on low submittal to high placement ratio, success based on placement not activity.
- Ability to interface with hiring managers, drive conversations with qualified candidates, maintain candidate and client relationships, negotiate salaries as needed.
