Position Overview:

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will lead and improve upon our sales forecasting process. You will work closely with the finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure item level forecasts reflect expected market conditions leading to informed supply chain decisions. This role will be highly detailed oriented while working in Excel models, but will also be required to see “the big picture” of the impact you’re making. You will play a key role in financial resource planning and will support our continued growth. This role requires a motivated self-starter, who excels at time management, and is able to communicate through several different channels.

This is an exciting role with the ability to directly see how you are impacting the company as a whole while gaining leadership team level exposure.

Job Responsibilities

·        Analyze and forecast large data sets relating to various P&L components such as Sales, COGS, Product Development, and other expenses

·        Partner with sales and supply chain to “translate” business needs into a detailed item level forecast

·        Own sales forecasting portion of the S&OP process while tracking and striving to improve forecast accuracy

·        Review actuals vs. forecasts and recommend action on the variances

·        Assist with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly reforecast process

·        Support Finance and other cross functional teams with ad-hoc analysis

Must Haves

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field

·        5+ years of financial analysis and forecasting experience

·        Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills with modeling and reporting experience – ability to summarize and analyze large data sets using Lookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables, etc.

·        Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience

·        Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Quickbooks, etc.

·        High level of “ownership” of your work

·        Written and verbal communication skills – experience working with cross-functional teams

·        Strong attention to detail

·        Positive demeanor and “can-do” attitude

·        Motivated self-learner who enjoys complex, new challenges, but also knows when to pause and ask for help

Working Conditions

·        The position is remote but will require occasional travel to Boulder, CO for team meetings (less than 10%)

·        The compensation includes base salary + performance based annual bonus with a competitive benefit package.
