Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Foothill Ranch, CA
Pay: $91k to $110k/year (depending on experience)
Experience:
- 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in IPC-620 standards and cable/wire harness manufacturing
- Proven experience in supervising or leading manufacturing teams, including troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring quality standards are met
Education:
- IPC-620 certification preferred
- Certification in a relevant manufacturing or technical discipline (e.g., soldering, wire harness assembly)

HB Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining quality in line with IPC-620 standards
- Oversee and resolve technical issues related to cable and wire harness assemblies, ensuring smooth production and adherence to customer requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting production issues, providing technical leadership to minimize downtime
- Ensure production teams follow work instructions, processes, and safety protocols, adhering to IPC-620 standards
- Monitor quality control processes and conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with IPC-620 standards
- Work with quality assurance to identify non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify improvements in efficiency, cost, and product quality
- Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and workflow optimization
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure product designs meet IPC-620 standards and are manufacturable
- Lead, mentor, and train production staff on IPC-620 standards, best practices, and technical procedures
Position Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of IPC-620 standards and best practices for cable and wire harness assembly
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve production issues quickly and efficiently
- Expertise in manufacturing processes, including crimping, soldering, wire stripping, and component assembly
- Proficiency in using CAD software, ERP systems, and other engineering tools to support manufacturing operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams, interact with management, and collaborate cross-functionally
