Key Responsibilities
As a Site Civil Engineer, you’ll bring technical skills and innovative problem-solving to a wide range of projects. Core responsibilities include:
- Assist in site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control for diverse land development projects.
- Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD using Carlson Design Software.
- Conduct planning studies, develop preliminary and final designs, and guide project permitting.
- Drive design efforts for water and sanitary sewer systems, including subdivision plans.
- Design E&S control measures in accordance with state regulations.
- Work closely with engineers, planners, and surveyors to ensure smooth project integration and successful outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in the Northern Virginia area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in site civil or land development design.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Possession or active pursuit of EIT or PE.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Enthusiasm for collaboration throughout design and project execution.
