They are seeking a leader for their Mechanical Engineering Department who will come in as a technical and cultural addition to their close-knit (and growing) team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Technical
- Offer subject matter expertise in technical engineering and share knowledge with team members
- Develop solutions to challenging MEP issues with integrated A/E project design teams
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with vendors, manufacturers, manufacturing representatives, etc., to help promote practice growth
- Lead and manage CA phase of projects
Leadership
- Participate in weekly project staffing meetings as well as long-term staffing planning meetings, making day-to-day adjustments as needed
- Offer direction and guidance to team regarding development of detailed project tasks and plans
- Invest time and commitment to assist in the growth and development of team members
Quality and Organizational Management
- Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) review of project drawings and specifications for coordination issues, constructability, budgetary compliance, and code compliance (own work and others)
- Act as the final stamp of approval for technical documentation for projects
- Ensure deliverables meet company standards as well as client expectations
Project/Client Management
- Coordinate project expectations with client and external project participants, and resolve discrepancies and conflicts as they arise
- Effectively manage projects of significant size and scope
- Coordinate with the client and the entire design team, including owners, architects, contractors, and internal team to ensure a fully coordinated design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in all phases of services in MEP design and management
- Licensed Professional Engineer required
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant discipline-specific software
