K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist job starting this Fall!
Educational And Certifications Requirements
- Masters degree in speech-language pathology (communication, language, and speech disorders).
- Completed a Clinical Fellowship Years (CF/CFY) in a school or medical setting.
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in of Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (CCC)
- Active North Carolina state Speech Pathologist licensure
Job Description
- 2024-25
- 37.50 hours per week
- 10-month contract (W2)
- Approximately 50 kiddos on caseload
- Direct and indirect speech therapy services
- General speech and language disorders.
- Articulation disorders.
- Mild to moderate speech disabilities
- Speech therapy is performed onsite
- Face-to-face and/or small groups
- Experience with NC IEP Comprehensive Exceptional Children Accountability System (Cecas).
- Working knowledge the state of N.C. Individualized Evaluation Plans
- Prior school experience and/or pediatric experience is preferred.
- Able to work a steady work schedule.
- Attend and participate in meetings (IEP) and prepare detailed notes.
- Communicate with parents, families, teachers, and school staff.
- Administer direct and indirect speech services in school based environment.
- Responsible for billing Medicaid reimbursements.
- Understand North Carolina IDEA and special education state and federal.
- Able to follow Medicaid billing guidelines
