Staff Accountant Job in Walworth County
A regional manufacturing company is looking to add a new Senior Accountant to their team. This position will have high level exposure and be heavily-involved in decision making. The company is very flexible with schedules and stands by their family-feel environment in terms of hours worked.
Job Duties:
- Partner with Controller on month/year end close procedures
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
- Assist with the implementation of accounting procedures for new acquisitions
- AR and AP reconciliations
- Assist with department goal setting
- Indirectly oversee AP and AR Specialists
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
- Provide support for other accounting functions when needed
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 1+ years of manufacturing accounting experience REQUIRED
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Problem solving and process improvement mindset
