Senior Network Operations Engineer - Contract-to-Hire - Onsite (Manhattan, NY)

We’re looking for a Senior Network Operations Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless network operations for our global entertainment client. As a key member of the team, you’ll manage, monitor, and optimize the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring events run flawlessly. You’ll bridge the gap between network architecture and venue technology, offering Level 2 and 3 technical support while driving improvements in network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, serving as an administrator for our production network.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to live events.
• Document LAN/WAN configurations and maintain detailed architectural diagrams.
• Review and update firmware/software for network infrastructure regularly.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure and network changes, ensuring post-change functionality.
• Collaborate with Network Architects to enhance system functionality and mitigate risks.
• Generate and execute service requests, change case tickets, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations.
• 4+ years working with enterprise systems platforms (compute, storage, data centers, and automation).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and outages.
• Experience with public cloud service providers (AWS, Azure) and advanced network monitoring tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, controls, and governance.
• Familiarity with platforms like Cisco, Citrix, Palo Alto, and Juniper.
• Knowledge of event correlation platforms and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
• Bonus: Experience with broadcast networks, streaming technologies, and large-scale event support.
