POSITION SUMMARY:

Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is seeking a polished Legal Administrative Assistant with Litigation/Labor experience. The Legal Administrative Assistant is required to handle strict confidential client and firm data in a professional and ethical manner on a daily basis and provide attorneys with assistance as defined below.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support to assigned attorney(s) and paralegal(s)

2. Format documents into final form, proofread, copy, scan, mail, etc. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and IManage preferred.

3. Process incoming and outgoing mail

4. File/e-file documents with courts and/or agencies. Proficiency in filing in state and federal courts in Colorado preferred.

5. Opening/closing files, consistent with department and firm practice

6. Scheduling conference calls, meetings and travel

7. Office duties including copying, scanning, faxing, time entry, call edit, reception, filing, etc.

8. Manage and calendar time

9. Experience with litigation preferred.

10. Experience with complex contracts and purchase and sale agreements preferred.

11. Experience with real property issues and title opinions preferred.

12. Other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. One year administrative office experience is required. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience. Litigation experience is required.
