Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Project Principal with deep expertise in buildings restoration engineering . This role will take the lead in managing and executing complex restoration projects, overseeing everything from assessment and design to client relationship management and project delivery. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with hands-on experience in structural restoration, passionate about saving and restoring structures for high-rise and projects with historical and structural significance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead restoration projects : Develop and manage restoration projects from feasibility and assessment phases to design and construction.
• Technical oversight : Provide technical guidance and direction on restoration methodologies, materials, and structural design solutions.
• Client engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations and translating these into actionable project plans.
• Project management : Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Team leadership : Mentor and support project engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and a high standard of quality.
• Quality assurance : Ensure all restoration projects meet Pretium Engineering’s standards, as well as industry codes and safety regulations.
• Innovation and development : Keep up with advancements in restoration technologies and techniques and advocate for their use within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on restoration projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in high-rise and historical buildings preservation, material conservation, and structural analysis for aging or damaged structures.
• Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multi-phase projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills for effective client and team interaction.
• Passionate about preservation and committed to sustainability in engineering.
