Responsibilities
• Develop high-quality designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems that meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC-related software to create precise mechanical system designs.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and seek guidance from senior staff for ongoing development.
• Reference and apply relevant codes and standards in all designs.
• Communicate technical requirements effectively through reports and client interactions.
• Conduct site visits and assist with field reviews as needed.
Qualifications
• EIT, P.Eng., or Professional Technologist designation (EGBC or ASTTBC).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit, IESve, or HAP is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Building Codes related to mechanical systems.
• Sustainable design certification (LEED, Passive House) is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on client satisfaction and continuous learning.
Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive salary: $85,000 - $110,000
