We are seeking a Senior Project Manager , based out of B.C. This position is responsible for the overall management of the project, ensuring that the project is efficiently and effectively managed, resulting in a completed product that is to the satisfaction of the Client.

Reporting to the SVP of Projects, typical duties include:

Client relations

Management of the relationship with the client with the specific focus on forming long term mutually beneficial relationships.

Client relationship includes the following;

• Ensuring the needs of the client are clearly understood.
• Meeting and exceeding the clients’ deliverables.
• Creatively and effectively solving client problems.
• Ensuring that clients are kept informed and up to date on the status of the study.
• Ensuring that all interactions with clients are conducted in professional and respectful manner.

People Engagement

• Ensures that appropriate resources are deployed to ensure the success of the study.
• Ensures that a positive and constructive atmosphere is propagated through the study team.
• Contribute an appropriate level of staff mentorship and development of study teams to ensure the delivery of best practice solutions
• Maintain relationships with the pool of internal and external global subject matter experts to provide the optimum solution for our clients

Study Management

• Manage the execution of multiple or concurrent studies including NI 43-101 compliant PEA’s PFS and FS level studies
• Report internally and externally on project status.
• Formulate effective business cases through bringing together technical knowledge and commercial concepts
• Manage all financial and commercial aspects of the study including the contractual issues, margin targets, budget targets and invoicing process.
• Consolidate various components of study and prepare the final reports for submission to clients
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals for new studies.

Qualification:

• 10+ years’ experience in the mining industry with proven track record in base and precious metals processing.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Extensive experience in the development, delivery of mining or mineral processing studies and projects, with experience specifically with copper projects.
• Previously worked on a client/owner`s team or been a study manager, area manager, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects and/or studies.
• Willingness to travel when required.
