Purpose of the Role

• The Solution Architect will work as part of a team with responsibility for analysis, design, development upgrade, testing and maintenance of changes to Connex Switch, a third-party software switch by FIS.
• Also, he she will be responsible for producing well-structured, high-quality design and lead the development team. The person will produce high level and detailed specifications and documentation and will QA code that developers have written.
• He She would liaise with FIS for customization based on the project needs, testing & installation of changes into client environments.
• He She would be working closely with technical developers and BAs for project delivery.

Responsibility

• Design, develop and test software components using Mainframe technologies.
• Come up with Application and component level design from high level technical design.
• Assisting Technical Lead with technical details / decisions.
• Review programs written by other developers and Software Engineers
• Analyse programs as part of impact analysis for any business change requests
• Assist in create change records, review change records and support in implementation processes.
• Analyse business requirements and convert them into Technical and/or Functional requirements.
• Perform Impact Analysis and create Change Request for FIS.
• Review FIS delivered Design Documents
• Review and Installation of modules delivered by FIS into Connex libraries
• Create Configuration Repository (CR) changes as required
• Extract and Install of CR changes
• Build & manage test Connex Systems
• Use FTI, Connex Console, NETSTAT, Data Navigator for testing support and system maintenance
• Analyse, debug defects/issues during testing using Connex Trace files
• Create detailed design documents fit for use during the build phase.
• Participate in system testing and UAT testing support
• Design and recommend implementation approach and participate in implementation activities
• Produce accurate estimates of time and effort for software development by understanding the technical specification.
• Create JCLs to setup FIS batch utilities
